About MeI decided to become a teacher when I was four years old while painting a can in preschool. The writing came a little later when at the age of 14, my eighth grade English teacher told me that I could be a wonderful writer if I would just pay more attention to spelling. Little did she know that computers with spell checkers would be part of life in the not-so-distant future.I spent most of my teen years working with kids and went on to graduate from Western Washington University with a degree in Developmental Psychology and a Teaching Certificate. I have worked as a teacher and more recently a writer for most of my adult life. Currently I split my time between giving classroom presentations and writing.
I live in the Seattle area with my two wonderful children, a rather strange cocker spaniel and a pair of playful rats. When I’m not in a classroom or at the computer I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, reading, inline skating, drawing, travel and eating chocolate ice cream.
